New Stephen Colbert Poll!
The poll, taken on October 24 with a sample of 1000 adults nationwide, asked: "If Stephen Colbert ran for President, would you definitely vote for him, definitely vote against him, or would it depend upon who he’s running against?
The results:
Definitely vote for 6%
Definitely vote against 32%
Depends on opponent 41%
Not sure 21%

Rasmussen Reports Poll: Stephen Colbert at 13%
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that Colbert is preferred by 13% of voters as an independent candidate challenging Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Rudy Giuliani. The survey was conducted shortly after Colbert’s surprise announcement that he is lusting for the Oval Office.
The result is similar when Fred Thompson is the Republican in the three-way race. With Thompson as the GOP candidate, Colbert earns 12% of the vote.
Hillary Clinton: 45%
Rudy Giuliani: 35%
Stephen Colbert: 13%
Hillary Clinton: 46%
Fred Thompson: 34%
Stephen Colbert: 12%
UPDATE: Colbert's response:
"These are my people. They know who I am and what I'm about, and so forth. Is this thing working, are we on the air? Oh, it's the Internet? Well why didn't you say the Internet?"
